3 Year Warranty
By logging on to and using the idmypet.com website, and by purchasing a product from idmypet.com, or by purchasing an idmypet.com product from a third party such as a licensed retailer, or by receiving a gift or transfer of the device, you hereby agree to the Warranty terms and conditions setforth herein;
This Warranty shall apply to idmypet.com products sold to end users through this website, to idmypet.com products purchased from a licensed third party retailer and to any third party user who has received this product as a gift (transfer of ownership of a product to a third party, such as transfer of a pet which is equipped with the device, shall be construed as a gift for purposes of this Warranty). idmypet.com warrants that the product(s) purchased from this website or from third party retailers are free from defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of three years from the original purchase date (the Warranty Period). A dated sales or delivery receipt showing the date of purchase of the product, and which specifies the units unique ID number, is included in the original shipping box and is proof of the purchase date. Consumers are required to provide proof of purchase via the invoice as a condition of receiving warranty service. Once you receive your unit you should make note of the unit's ID number in case it ever becomes unreadable. Please keep your invoice in a safe place as we will not accept returns without it.
idmypet.com is not responsible for damage that occurs to the unit as a result of user's failure to properly follow the user instructions intended for the product. Products which are damaged as a result of an accident, misuse, abuse or improper/inadequate handling or usage are not covered under this Warranty. idmypet.com warrants that the Capsule I.D. and Micro I.D. devices are waterproof up to 5 meters (+/- 15 feet), however, both units have been tested at 30 feet and remained fully functional. The Capsule remains waterproof even if the cap is loose or removed and even if the device is filled with water. Although the heavy duty rubber o-ring, which is originally shipped with the device, is installed to help prevent water from entering the device, it's primary purpose in this application is to prevent the cap from coming loose by providing upward pressure when the cap is screwed on tightly. The Capsule's cap must be screwed down until the rubber o-ring bulges around the circumference of the device. However, for purposes of this Warranty, removal of the rubber o-ring, or using the device with a damaged o-ring, voids the Warranty. The Micro device is also fully waterproof and shock resistant. In the event either device is exposed to water, simply as a precaution, shake and blow any excess water out of the device before plugging into a computer.
During the warranty period, idmypet.com will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective unit returned to us. All parts or units removed or serviced under this Warranty become the property of idmypet.com. idmypet.com, at its sole discretion, may elect to provide a replacement unit of our choosing, that may contain a different unique ID number, that is the same or equivalent to the original product. This is your exclusive remedy for defective products. You, as the end user, will never be charged for repair or replacement of the product while under the warranty period. Additionally, this Warranty is fully transferable to any third party provided the product is still under the three year warranty period. This means that if your pet, for whatever reason, is placed in a new home during the warranty period, the new owners will enjoy the same benefits as you. If any product fails to work as warranted, idmypet.com's maximum liability under the Warranty is expressly limited to the price paid for the product or the cost of repair or replacement of any hardware components that malfunction within the product under normal use. Except as indicated above, in no event will idmypet.com be liable for any damages caused by the product or the failure of the product to perform, including any economic loss of any kind, or special, incremental, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to a computer caused by inserting a device without first making absolutely certain the metal contacts are dry with no evidence of moisture present. idmypet.com is also not liable for any claim of damage made by a third party or made by you on behalf of a third party.
In the event a product is returned to idmypet.com for warranty service within the first 90 days, idmypet.com shall be responsible for all shipping charges, to and from, with no out of pocket expense to the consumer. In the event the consumer must pre pay to return the product to idmypet.com within the first 90 days, idmypet.com shall reimburse the consumer for shipping charges within 15 days of shipment. This means that you, as the consumer, may have to take the device to your local post office and pay for shipping it back to idmypet.com. However, idmypet.com will gladly reimburse you for your out of pocket shipping expenses during the first 90 days after purchase. Reimbursements for shipments shall be made only when products are shipped via USPS first class mail service. Please do not ship a device back to idmypet.com using Priority or Express mail service. Devices must be shipped via USPS first class mail only. If a different shipper is used, consumer, or consumer's duly authorized rep, shall be responsible for all shipping charges. Shipping a damaged device back to idmypet.com shall be sufficient if the device is placed in a small padded envelope. You may also ship the device back to us by first wrapping it in a small amount of bubble wrap or any product that would prohibit further damage to the device during shipment. Upon receiving the device idmypet.com will immediately ship a new device to you. idmypet.com reserves the right to choose the method of shipping when sending a replacement unit back to the consumer.
idmypet.com is happy to provide this return policy to all of our customers whose product is still under warranty. Returning your product to idmypet.com is easy and straightforward. Simply send us an email at returns@idmypet.com. Within 48 hours of receiving your email we will confirm receipt and send you a 5 digit Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA) via email. Once you have received this number repack the device, write the RAN in bold on the outside top and bottom of the box, and ship it back to us. When we receive your package we will send you out a replacement unit immediately. Below is a sample Return Authorization Number, all numbers begin with the letter "R".
