The idmypet.com ID devices are solid state memory devices, which use Tier 1 chips, and are designed to attach directly to your pet's collar via a split ring. The devices are easily identified by the high contrast oxidized green outer shell and black logo which is permanently printed on the exterior surface. It's important to note that the exterior surfaces of the devices are not painted, they are oxidized. This means the exterior surface will never chip, peel or otherwise become unidentifiable. The Capsule device is manufactured from an aircraft grade aluminum alloy making it exceptionally durable yet very lightweight. The Capsule model weighs 13.5 grams, just under a half ounce, and is the size of a standard AA battery. The Capsule is a two piece unit which includes the body, where the electronic circuitry is located, and the cap, which is attached to the pet's collar. The cap screws onto the body and is seperated by an o-ring. This o-ring serves two important purposes. 1) it prevents water from entering the device when the cap is screwed on tight. 2) it prevents the cap from unscrewing itself due to very active animals. It's important to note that this o-ring is an in-house upgrade developed and tested by our techs to prevent the cap from coming loose. The Capsule is also shock proof to 1000 G's making it exceptionally durable and almost indestructible. The device is the perfect choice for active dogs and dogs who love the water. A dog may continue to wear the Capsule while bathing, swimming or hunting.
The Micro, which weighs a little less than a 1/4 ounce, contains a metal back which protects the circuitry. The Micro is a single piece unit and is exposed by pushing down on a tab and then pushing forward to expose the contacts. The tab is then pushed down again to retract the contacts and remains in this position until re-opened by a user. Because of the locking mechanism, there is absolutely no chance of the contacts slipping down and exposing themselves no matter how active the animal. The plastic housing, which holds the circuitry, is fully enclosed and the circuitry is embedded in silicon making the device fully waterproof. Make sure you view our video where we drop the Micro into a glass of water for 24 hours, then plug it into a laptop. The Micro can be worn by your pet while swimming and bathing and is a great choice for small dogs and cats of all sizes.
